Taking the first step towards somatic therapy can feel significant, especially when you have been carrying a lot on your own.

This free 30-minute call is a chance for us to meet, answer any questions you have about working together and get a sense of whether there is a connection between us. Many people feel a little nervous or unsure before a first call, and that is completely welcome, as the call is simply about getting a feel for one another.

Before our call

To make the most of our time, please watch my video, which will appear once you have booked, and take a look at my free guide, Safe Enough to Feel. Together they start to explain what somatic therapy is, how I work, what happens in a session, so you can arrive with many of your questions already answered.

What the call is not for

I do not expect you to share your history with me on this call, and I would gently encourage you not to. 30-minutes is not enough time to do your story justice, and I would never want you to leave feeling that your history or what you are going through right now is not important. If we decide to work together, you will complete a thorough client intake form, which is a place to begin sharing your story, and we will give it the time, care and support it deserves in our sessions.

Is this the right time?

This space tends to suit people who...

🦚 Have done a great deal of inner work, talking therapy and self-development and are looking for a deeper process

🦚 Are willing to move at a slower pace and stay with what unfolds, rather than looking for a quick solution

🦚 Sense that what they are carrying is held in the body as well as the mind

🦚 Would like to take an active part in their own healing, rather than looking for someone to fix them

🦚 Are able to commit to ongoing sessions and prioritise this work as part of their wellbeing

It may not be the right time for this work if you are currently relying on alcohol or other substances to manage difficult feelings, or if you are living with an active eating disorder, in which case I would suggest beginning/continuing with specialist support first.

Sessions and pricing

Sessions last 75 minutes, online or in person in Beverley, East Yorkshire, and are £75 each, or £65 per session when you book a bundle of ten sessions. The bundle can be paid in 5-monthly payments of £130, and it usually works out at roughly one session a fortnight over 5 months, although the rhythm is shaped around you.

Please note that I currently have no reduced-rate places available.

If this resonates with where you are, you are warmly welcome to book a call.
