My Approach
As a Somatic Practitioner, Meditation Teacher, and Sobriety Expert, I guide people on a path of reconnecting with their bodies and inner worlds in a trauma-informed, compassionate way. My work blends ancient practices with modern insights to support you in healing old patterns, releasing stored stress, and developing a more harmonious relationship with your mind, body, and spirit.

Through The Somatic Wellness Hub, I teach you how to harness body-based practices—such as mindful movement, breathwork, and meditation—to reconnect with yourself, regulate your nervous system, and shift the habits that no longer serve you. My approach is designed for both beginners and those with extensive experience, focusing on creating a gentle, supportive path to long-term wellbeing.

About

A Bit About Me

At 54, I’m living life with a renewed sense of energy and purpose, thanks to sober living, yoga, and holistic practices like Mindfulness, Reiki and Bach Flower Remedies. After years of using alcohol to cope with stress and anxiety, I made the decision to step away from the drinking cycle and focus on healing from the inside out. It’s been a life-changing journey, one that’s allowed me to truly reconnect with myself and live in a way that feels authentic and fulfilling.

I am a 6/3 Manifesting Generator. A proud mum to Finn, who’s now pursuing his career dreams in London, and a devoted dog mum to Monty, my loyal but slightly anxious dachshund. My husband, Jim, is my steady support, who spends a lot of time outdoors, especially in the woods, where he connects with nature (and his chainsaws!). 

With 24 years of experience as a registered social worker, including the last 18 years specialising in mental health and substance misuse, I bring a wealth of knowledge and empathy to my practice. I’m now a certified vinyasa yoga teacher and Yoga Nidra Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals and a certified life coach. I’m also a senior member of the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Hypnotherapists). Currently, I’m furthering my expertise by studying to be a somatic therapist with the International School of Holistic Healing, aiming to qualify in early 2025.  

As a former social worker turned somatic practitioner and sobriety expert, I’m passionate about helping people break free from the habits that no longer serve them. My work focuses on healing the whole person, from the physical body to the mental, emotional and energetic self. I know firsthand that healing isn’t just about quitting alcohol or nicotine —it’s about addressing the deeper reasons why we smoke, drink, overwork, or people-please, and finding new ways to be in our bodies that actually nourish us.

My approach is holistic and compassionate, grounded in both personal experience and my training. I believe in helping people rediscover their true essential nature by calming their nervous system, understanding the root of their struggles, and creating a life that feels balanced and free. This is what I call holistic somatic wellness—a way of living that empowers you to become the person you’ve always been, with more joy, ease, and connection.
